March 31, 2009
HSBC Australia claims to have introduced the lowest variable home loan interest rate seen in Australia since the 1950s.
It is offering a 12-month introductory rate of 3.99 per cent per annum, against a comparison rate of 5.02 per cent, under its new PowerVantage and Premier home loans.
As well HSBC is also discounting its three to five year fixed home loan rates.
